April Astrology – Stepping Out of Illusion and Into Truth

April is a month of illumination, dismantling, and sober miracles. We are stepping away from illusion and into greater truth.

Full Moon Deltoid: The Raven’s Gate of Completion

On April 1, we stand inside the final lunar cycle culmination of the solar–lunar year, approaching the Babylonian New Year of 1 Nisan. At this culmination point, the sky forms a rare and strongly positive deltoid figure, and the full moon completes it. Saturn and Neptune remain closely joined in Pisces, still hidden under the rays of the Sun while Saturn travels through the underworld, activated and supported by Pluto and Uranus. The full moon gathers these forces from the far boundaries of the heavens and pours them directly into our physical plane.

This is the culmination of a cycle in which Heaven and human will are pointing in the same direction, while Saturn the great lord of karma is still invisible, working behind the scenes. You have the opportunity now to put your intuition to work — Uranus — together with your psychological depth and spiritual perception — Neptune — in right alignment with your karmic plan and discipline — Saturn - from the unseen — and your capacity to transform and overcome — Pluto. The Moon focuses all of this into your actual life: your social, emotional, and family circumstances, the unresolved threads you have been carrying through this whole solar–lunar year, that ultimately effects your health and well being.

This full moon near the southern hand of Virgo rises conjunct Gienah, the fixed star on the Raven's wing. The Raven in ancient sky lore is the messenger of Apollo, the bird of prophecy and sacred truth-telling — but also the carrier of omens and the revealer of what has been concealed. A full moon on this star exposes. It speaks what others would prefer to leave unsaid. It brings to completion what has been in process for many months.

The full moon also accentuates the Mercury–Jupiter trine, moving travels and communications forward and bringing resolve and conclusion from conflict as the light of human consciousness, our great mind and intelligence, is turned fully on. What the Raven sees, it cannot un-see. What this moon reveals to you about your life, your relationships, and your own patterns of creation, can transform you.

Be discerning and do not let this Virgo–Raven light pull you into criticism, obsessive attention to detail, or victim consciousness. This is not the time to blame people and events outside of yourself. It is the final review of this solar–lunar year, the moment to take responsibility for your part in how you attracted circumstances, so that you can look into the mirror of others and learn the lesson. Your mirrors teach you so you can grow, and this means you must take your power back in order to change your life. Use this full moon deltoid — this Raven’s gate of completion — to see what you have done to create your life circumstances. This full moon empowers you to close out the old year consciously and to take charge of your life and your manifestations as you approach the new year gate of 1 Nisan that begins April 18 after sunset.

Saturn–Neptune: The Dissolving of False Structures

With the Saturn–Neptune conjunction separating, old systems and structures are dissolving. This conjunction began last summer and continues through March 2026, and every time in history when Saturn and Neptune met, old systems and structures fell: the fall of the Berlin Wall, the French Revolution, and other great ruptures. Now, with this happening in Pisces, we have amazing revelations and knowledge, both collectively and in the exact place it lands in your individual star map. This is why you may feel both a strange sense of relief and a deep disorientation, as though the scaffolding you were leaning against has simply disappeared. Illusions, spiritual bypassing, and false protections melt, and the truth of where you stand with God, with your own soul, and with this world comes forward.

Pluto & Saturn Sextile: Divine Truth and Consequences

Pluto and Saturn communicate with opportunity for power and truth. Saturn imposes limitations. He is the Titan with high morals, integrity, responsibility, Father Time, the god of karma, Kronos who brought upon the Great Flood, and he remains invisible through April. Pluto is the law of divine truth that does not give in to excuses or deception. Pluto in Capricorn, in a clairvoyant degree at the jaws of the celestial goat-fish, gives truth and realizations of our reality and our place in the universe. Pluto brings extremes of the deep netherworld with the death and rebirth process, and with it, the possibility of great power and wealth.

This month, there can be speech limitations imposed. Freedom of speech can feel more limited, but the truth will prevail regardless. Saturn at 11 Pisces with Neptune can bring limitations to oil and gas, yet with Pluto in sextile, the opportunity of truth is available. Fears, worries, and a restless mind are all temptations under this sky. Do not fall prey to these. They are symptoms of the old order trying to hold on to what is already dissolving. After this, you will not be the same. Be honored to live in these transformative times, even though the reality is sad with the wars and the realizations of the dark truth presenting itself lately.

Mars into Pisces: Turbulent Waters, Hidden Deceptions

As Mars transits into Pisces on April 3, where it will remain until May 11, we see a softening of its usual fiery anger. The aggression becomes less direct, more diffused and spiritualized, but this watery placement can stir intense weather patterns and challenges on the world's oceans and seas as the stellium of planets in Pisces intensifies. Mars here can dissolve old battles but also create confusion about where to assert yourself and where to surrender.

Several significant moments come as Mars moves through the Pisces constellation. Around April 13 and 19, Mars transits over Neptune and then Saturn. The conjunction of Saturn and Mars represents a temporary setback or standstill, a heavy compression of will and structure, a final moment of intensity before the energy shifts. On April 20, Mercury and Mars come together in a powerful and weighty alignment that may coincide with collective feelings of loss, sobering global incidents, or a sense that something old has truly ended. The same pattern speaks to continued fluctuations in global resources, especially reduced supplies and rising oil prices. The outer world mirrors the inner work: where have you been burning fuel in ways that are no longer sustainable?

Under this combination, deception and problems can arise, especially where anger is repressed, where addictions or fantasies have been used to avoid truth, or where leaders and institutions promise salvation without integrity. This is where you must watch carefully where confusion, fog, and false saviors show up in your life, in media, and in leadership. The full moon and the Saturn–Neptune separation will illuminate truth and reality into awareness so that you can make better choices. You will see details and answers you did not know before, especially in matters of health, healing, charity, and the way you use your own life-force.

Mercury in Pisces: From Fog to Clarity

From April 10 to April 29, Mercury joins the Pisces cluster and swims through these deep waters. During this time, you may notice that communication feels less precise, travel plans shift, and misunderstandings arise more easily. People may speak in symbols, evasions, or half-truths, not always from malice but from confusion and overwhelm. Your own mind may feel more porous, more sensitive to collective emotion, more easily flooded by images and impressions.

Fortunately, this fog does not last forever. The mutual exchange between Mercury and Jupiter strengthens the intelligence of the heart and restores order to the mind. By the end of the month, what felt confusing begins to reorganize itself. Misunderstandings clear, lost messages arrive, delayed plans move forward, and the energy opens a path toward more unity and peace in May. The key is to move slowly, listen more deeply, and not rush to conclusions in the middle of the mist.

Venus, Jupiter, and the Love & Money Journey of April

The two benevolents are not especially comfortable at the start of April. Venus is not in good dignity in Aries, and neither is Jupiter in Gemini. This can show up as impulsive spending, distorted values, scattered thinking around money, over-promising, overextending, comparing, or making financial/relational decisions from pressure rather than peace. It can also reveal where worth has become entangled with performance, speed, status, or the need to prove something.

While Venus moves through Aries, she conflicts with Pluto, and this intensifies the worth, values and money story. Venus is being tested through heat, pressure, power, and truth. What you value, what you cling to, what you fear losing, what you believe you must force, and where you have given money too much power over your nervous system can all come to the surface now. The square to Pluto can expose control, obsession, fear of lack, and hidden shame around receiving, having, or not having. This is for purification. You're being asked what your relationship with value truly is when no one is watching and when appearances are not going your way.

Your true worth is a matter of soul and has nothing to do with material things. When money is placed above soul, fear enters and contracts the very field through which abundance flows. A healing liberation from poverty consciousness allows the Universe to work through you more easily, without the obstruction of negative conditioning. Seeing wealth as more than money, and refusing to make money an indication of success or the worth of a person, is the antidote to the wound of separateness. That wound creates selfishness, ignorance, jealousy, and the slow stealing from community and future generations of their rightful inheritance.

The color and brightness of Venus as Aphrodite of the sunset illuminates this healing. It reminds us that we are each meant to experience abundance, creating and sharing prosperity from a place of inner spiritual security first. Place your sense of security not in appearances, but in the unconditional love and endless generosity that is available in all life on Earth. Trust that the Universe knows what it is doing and that all matters can be resolved according to a loving higher intelligence. Focus on giving your gifts to the world as generously as you can, while opening up to receive fully and fearlessly. As a sacred changemaker, you are asked to broaden your definition of currency from pertaining only to the tangible, to one that honors the conscious economics of bringing people together rather than driving them apart.

The atmosphere shifts on April 20 as Venus enters her beautiful home of Taurus, where she becomes exalted, and fertility is naturally more available, embodied, receptivity increases, and prosperity and luxury is more easily accessible. The heat and intensity of Aries gave way to steadier, more grounded value. What was exposed earlier in the month can now be healed, reorganized, and received in a more graceful way. This is where financial and pleasure expansion and giving/receiving love happens by restoring right relationship with receiving, trust, pleasure, and sufficiency.

April's money journey is a purification. It is about releasing diminishing beliefs and interpretations of events, fear in the heart, and the old habit of making financial matters an issue in your own mind. It is about moving from panic into peace, from grasping into trust, and from material fear into sacred relationship with the resources Heaven wants to flow through you.

1 Nisan: The Babylonian New Year

On April 18, after sunset, when the first lunar crescent appears on the western horizon, we enter 1 Nisan — the most important day and lunar cycle of the year ahead. It initiates a new solar–lunar year, a fresh covenant between Heaven, Earth, and our collective destiny. What you decide and set in motion at this gate carries much farther than you think, echoing through the coming year in ways that only become visible later.

April 27, when Saturn appears as a morning star, we will roll out new systems and structures of the world and implement these in our own lives as we step even more clearly away from illusion and into greater truth. This period is the window to make deliberate adjustments and changes based on what you have learned, and on what you have become enlightened to through your own judgments, experiences, and karmic mirrors.

This month asks you to anchor yourself in faith and prayer, to lean into divine truth that gives transformation and becomes permanent power. The Raven opened the month by placing truth in your hands. The remedy is to carry what you have seen with integrity and do not bargain it away for comfort or approval.

Connect deliberately with nature: plant, work in the garden, walk barefoot, place your hands into the soil. The Earth is your stabilizer when the sky is this intense. Saturn gives the permanent tangible rewards when you choose discipline, integrity, and an unwavering refusal to deviate from the truth. Pluto brings great wealth when you move in alignment with divine law rather than ego greed.

The Raven is a seer of truth. What was revealed to you under this full moon is the intelligence you are meant to act on. Honor it. Pray with it. Create with it. This is a month to live as if Heaven is watching every decision you make.
